“Where Science Meets Imagination”
Defy gravity, manipulate robots, engineer droids, and journey into a galaxy far, far away that has captivated audiences for more than 30 years. Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination, presented by Bose Corporation, explores the futuristic technologies found in the Star Wars universe and compares them with real-world scientific progress.
See more than 80 authentic costumes, interactive displays, models and props from all six Star Wars films, including Luke Skywalker’s landspeeder and Darth Vader’s menacing black suit. These objects are displayed alongside modern technologies that may one day make the world of Star Wars a reality.
Through interactive displays, visitors can experiment with magnetic levitation, build a robot, and simulate the jump to lightspeed in a full-size replica of the Millennium Falcon cockpit.See more than 80 authentic costumes, interactive displays, models and props from all six Star Wars films, including Luke Skywalker’s landspeeder and Darth Vader’s menacing black suit. Preparations are currently under way for our next special exhibition, Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination, which opens to the public Saturday, March 19. But, as always our members get to see it first.
Members Only Event THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL
On Friday, March 18 from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. (last entry at 4 p.m.) the exhibit will be open to Pacific Science Center members only. This is a free event for members but tickets are required and are now being booked. The Millennium FalconExperience will be up and running for this event as well and we’ll be handing out special surprises. Reserve tickets in advance to guarantee your preferred time.
Platinum and Titanium Member Special Event
See Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination at an exclusive event for our Platinum and Titanium members only! On Wednesday, March 23, we will extend exhibit hours for this exhibit just for you. From 5 – 9 p.m., please come be our guest and enjoy Pacific Science Center’s newest featured exhibit. There will be light refreshments provided during the event. Discovery Circle Preview
Members of Discovery Circle, Pacific Science Center’s leading group of individual contributors, are in for a special treat as a part of the kick-off of Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination. This special event will be Friday, March 18 starting at 6 p.m. Discovery Circle donors will enjoy an exclusive preview of the exhibit before it opens to the public, including:
- Star Wars-themed dinner.
- Two special laser shows.
- Opportunity to meet and be photographed with Washington state’s official garrison of the 501st Legion: the world’s definitive Star Wars costuming organization.
